The EIC created a new Story 20 January 2020
For the first time the EIC is collaborating with the German Association of Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics (BME) to introduce your services to the Pharma Supply Chain Managers in company pitches, business speed dating and prescheduled B2B matchmakings. This workshop will take place in Dresden, Germany on the 4th of March and the overall conference takes place from 3rd to the 5th of March 2020. Applications are due on 31 January 2020.
For the very first time, the European Innovation Council organised the Coordinators’ Day virtually, meeting the companies funded by the EIC under Phase 2 in an online session. The purpose was to gather the EIC coordinators from the recently awarded projects, get familiar with the project management procedures and discover more in-depth the Business Acceleration Services.

Communication plays an important role in making sure your project has a lasting impact! That's why communicating your project results is a requirement under virtually all EU programmes
A total of 287 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) form 31 countries have been selected for funding under the last round of the EIC SME Instrument, in the so-called Phase 1 of the programme, now known as the EIC Accelerator. The companies will receive a total amount of €14.15 million to share between their projects to get their innovations faster on the market.
For the first time the European Innovation Council organised an Innovation Procurers Day, together with the German Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics (BME) and its members. During this day 9 EIC-backed innovators had the exclusive chance to pitch to innovative procurers from the Pharma industry. The event took place in Dresden, Germany on 4 March 2020 as part of the 5th Pharma Supply Chain Congress (3-5 March 2020).

The whole world is currently dealing with a novel coronavirus pandemic and we all want to try to understand what the future may hold. Using computer-based models would allow us to keep up with the spread and evolution of the pandemic.
ViroGates, a Danish EIC-funded company, is trialling an innovative solution to identify if there is a risk of severe respiratory failure. The trial results have recently shown a very positive outcome, with a 64% improvement in overall patient outcome from COVID-19 patients.
The COVID-19 outbreak and its fast spread has catalysed the development of novel treatments, drugs and vaccines. Biotech start-ups and researchers have been exploring ways to handle diseases that can be produced by this family of viruses.
