The EIC Investor Day Women in Tech 2.0 is rapidly approaching. On 17 December 2020, 19 women entrepreneurs from EI-funded companies will pitch their BioTech MedTech and ICT-solutions in front of prominent investors. Furthermore, the event will feature three panels with interesting speakers who will present their views on the influence of COVID-19 on women led companies, new opportunities that will arise as well as discussions on breaking the glass ceiling. News: 6 European cities are looking for AI solutions for mobility and energy

The cities of Copenhagen, Helsinki, Amsterdam, Paris, Tallinn and Stavanger invite innovators/companies to submit offers for the AI4CITIES pre-commercial procurement. These solutions should use artificial intelligence or other enabling technologies - such as big data applications, 5G, edge computing and IoT - and contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions in the six cities and regions participating in the project. The total funding amount to be divided among the selected suppliers throughout the whole challenge-based procurement is 4.6 million euros. Don’t miss this opportunity! The Gothenburg-based company achieved $1 billion in market valuation in just 4.5 years and became the first EIC-funded unicorn. In 2016, when the company was officially founded, Cellink’s IPO was already more than 1070% over-subscribed. As a result, the founder Erik Gatenholm was placed on the Forbes’ “30 under 30” list in 2018, becoming Entrepreneur of the Year. The company has been able to commercialise products used by more than 1.000 scientists across more than 55 countries.
