Pertimm has detected a growing demand from internet users and buyers for neutral and privacy-friendly services and for platforms that support fast and cost-effective chatbots development. This year, the French company launched successfully its platform based on artificial intelligence and natural language processing. Viky.ai is now opened to everybody and the users can freely take advantage of this new system.  

Commission awards more than €278 million to 75 start-ups and SMEs set to shape the future

As a major novelty, 39 of these companies are set to receive both a grant and a direct equity investment. Among the companies selected is Hiberband, who is creating the first global Internet of Things network using low-cost low-orbit satellites, Chrysalix Technologies, a university spin-off producing sustainable fuel using organic material and BrainQ, who is developing AI-powered technologies to transform the lives of patients with severe brain injuries.

News: 31M€ Series B funds rollout to Diabeloop and its autonomous diabetes management solutions

The EIC created a new Story | 5 December 2019

Reducing the burden of diabetes management is a significant benefit recognized by patients in clinical trials and confirmed by the success of Diabeloop solutions. According to the Grenoble-based company, this is the biggest Series B round raised by a European company developing therapies that use artificial intelligence. The round was led by the French family office Cemag Invest and includes new French firms Odyssée Ventures and AGIR dom, and the Indian investment firm ADAG.

News: EIC-funded company Vetbiobank raises €1 Million and obtains pharmaceutical manufacturer licence for veterinary cell-based products

Vetbiobank is specialized in veterinary regenerative medicine. The French biotech company is leveraging the unique biological potential of neonatal stem cells  to provide veterinarians with biological products at the highest grade of quality to increase the odds of improving animal wellbeing. This year the company has hit a new fundraising round with €1 Million led by Club Holnest and Business Angels co-investing in this market. 

EIC join L’Oréal at cutting the edge of Cosmetic innovation
