A new e-pitching session organised by the European Innovation Council (EIC) pilot's Accelerator will be taking place from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm CTE, on 31 October. The event will be focused on renewable energy and will allow SME’s to virtually pitch their business ideas to key investors. This session will gather as investors EDP Ventures, Finindus, Danfoss, Demeter and Iberdola

92 companies funded by the SME Instrument under Phase 2 met on 15/16 October, in Brussels, for the Welcome Days. The purpose was to bring the SMEs selected for funding together, in order to network and share experiences. From sessions focused on how to sell to public buyers, to training workshops related to large corporates, the event has tried to address the core challenges SMEs face in a cohesive way.

Travelling is a time-consuming business and there are many elements to consider before jetting off: barbaric jet lag, cramped seats, cacophonous hotel rooms, delays when it comes to flights, trains, rental cars. In the past, these concerns could only be addressed with vigorous planning but, as technology has advanced, apps have presented effortless solutions. According to the Wall Street Journal, Dayuse is one of the clever new apps.

The 13th edition of the Tech Tour Contest Final is taking place on 9-10 December 2019 in Essen, Germany. The event will present more than 175 European innovative companies in the High-technology sectors to an international audience of investors, key corporates and innovation experts. The EIC funded company dedicated to duct installation won a competition in 2011 to supply and equip the 56.000m2 extension of Herlev Hospital near Copenhagen. The project, designed with sustainability in mind, connects patients to nature and aims to create a healing architecture.

Once again the European Commission will take part in Ecomondo, the annual trade fair for the green and circular economy. The expo will take place in Rimini, Italy, from 5 to 8 November 2019. The event will bring together all sectors of the circular economy, from material and energy recovery to sustainable development.  

News: 15 companies funded by the EIC pilot join Euronext pre-IPO programme TechShare

The programme run by Euronext is trying to help scaling technology companies prepare for public listings and other forms of mature financing. This year, 132 tech companies from 12 countries across Europe are participating in the TechShare program. Amongst them are 15 EIC funded companies that are working on a large variety of fields.
